Hello everyone!

We’ve invited three associates who joined Hanwha Finance through the Global Internship Program and are now continuing

their journeys here as full-time employees. Please meet Yuna Kim, who completed the internship in 2022, Jaey Kim and

Jaeyeon Kim, who completed the program in 2025. Today, they’ll share their stories, from their internship experiences to

their full-time career at Hanwha Finance!

To start, could each of you briefly introduce yourselves?

 Yuna

Hello, my name is Yuna Kim, and I studied in Chicago.

I worked as an Art Investment Intern at Hanwha Finance during

the summer of 2022, which is almost about three years ago! After Global

Internship Program and graduation, I began my career as an investment

professional in Alternative Investment Division at Hanwha Life Insurance.

My role focuses on real estate alternative investments. I meet and directly work with professionals from other companies, such as asset management

firms, and analyze real estate investment market trends.

There is still so much for me to learn more, but I’m enjoying the process of

growing and developing my expertise.

Jaey

Hello, I’m Jaey Kim, and I studied in Georgia.

I joined and finished this Global internship Program as an investment intern

in the summer of 2025. After completing the internship (hopefully, great!)

I joined Hanwha Life Insurance’s Investment Review & Screening Team as a full-time associate, where I’ve begun my career as an investor.

Since I joined the company full-time immediately after finishing this global

internship program, I imagine many of you guys may be curious about that

transition. I’m happy to share my experience, thank you for having me.

Jaeyeon

Hello, I’m Jaeyeon Kim, and I studied in Washington.

I was also with Jaey as an Art Intern in the 2025 Summer Global Internship Program. “Art” within a financial company may sound unfamiliar, but our

work focuses on creating new impact through future finance and new business initiatives.

I’m currently starting my career with a team developing a new business,

Wealth Management platform, where I’m responsible for the planning and

design of platform-based financial services.

I hope to offer a fresh perspective beyond traditional finance areas such as insurance and investments.

All three of you studied abroad and are now working at Hanwha Finance as full-time employees through the

Global Internship Program. Could you share what your experience in the program was like?

Yuna  I was able to build relationships that simply aren’t possible to form in school. Working on projects with people from different majors, backgrounds,

and regions allowed me to learn so many new things. What surprised me most was how much I learned from fellow interns as well

Even though I completed the program three years ago, we’re still close friends today. Despite being based in different cities—Chicago, California, NYC—

we continue to meet, support one another, and grow together. How was it for the 2025 Global Internship Program members?

Jaeyeon  I completely agree—it was really about the people. At school, you tend to spend time with classmates from similar majors, but here we met

people from truly diverse backgrounds. Jaey and I were in the same cohort, and we even had teammates from Singapore and Indonesia, which made

the experience feel truly global. Jaey, what stood out to you the most?

Jaey   For me, it was the opportunity to build meaningful learning relationships not only with other interns, but also with Hanwha professionals.

Even as interns, we were given a wide range of hands-on, real-world assignments. The mentors provided real-time guidance and worked closely with

us on our project outcomes, which made a huge difference. Creating actual investment IR materials, exchanging insights with other interns, and receiving direct coaching from industry professionals helped me grow tremendously. Most importantly, the experience helped me understand myself better

what I’m good at and how I want to grow as a professional.

Yuna  That's true!  During my internship, I was in the Art Investment role, and I had the opportunity to visit various exhibitions and meet emerging artists

in person. Honestly, I didn’t expect to gain such broad and diverse experiences through an internship. We worked on a side project to develop a concept

for an alternative investment platform service. Interns with different areas of expertise, investment, art, planning, and marketing, came together, and there was so much to learn from one another. I think this was possible because we were able to learn our roles properly within our respective mentors

and take on responsibilities that aligned with our individual strengths.

It sounds like all of you had very positive experiences. Did your perception of Hanwha change before and after joining?
As a typical Korean conglomerate, some people might worry that Hanwha could feel rigid or .. kind of intimidating.

 Jaey
Yes, honestly, I did worry that it might be difficult to adapt. Of course, there is structure and hierarchy, as you would expect in any company.

But when it comes to sharing ideas, the atmosphere is extremely open. The mentors and buddies in our department were incredibly supportive and

helped us adjust smoothly.

 Jaeyeon

Our team really feels like a “startup within a large company". Because we work on new ideas and new challenges at a fast pace, everyone—from

entry-level employees to team leaders—works in a very open and collaborative environment. What surprised me was how different each team’s culture

can be depending on their role within the company. Since I didn’t major in finance, I was worried it would be especially difficult to adapt, but instead,

the company actively encourages diversity, which made the experience even more rewarding.

One more thing I’d like to add is that this environment is possible because people here have clear goals and dreams. When everyone knows what they

want to achieve and brings passion to their work, mutual respect naturally follows. Our team leaders and executives are always open to listening to my

ideas, but I also believe that meaningful conversations are possible because we come prepared and thoughtful in how we share our perspectives.

We’re grateful to have met all of you and believe that Hanwha Finance Global Internship Program has become an even better

place thanks to your contributions. Lastly, could each of you share a message or piece of advice for future Global Interns?

Yuna

I first met Hanwha Finance’s HR team at a campus roadshow in the U.S. three years ago. I was only a freshman at the time, but the experience left

a strong impression on me and motivated me to apply. What I want to say is this: work with people who truly see your potential

Meeting people who believe in you, invest in you, and support your growth is a rare and valuable opportunity—and something to be truly grateful for.

 Jaey
I genuinely believe this program allows you to maximize your strengths. I can confidently say it’s one of the best possible starting points for your career.
From boot camps and networking sessions to hands-on job experience, everything is systematically designed, and before you know it, you’ll see how

much you’ve grown.

When preparing for the application process, the case study is especially important. It’s a written assignment tailored to each role, and it often comes up

again during interviews—so take it seriously, research relevant trends, and prepare thoughtfully.

 Yuna

That’s so true—the case study is incredibly important. I clearly remember spending two to three full weeks preparing mine before submitting it.

One more thing I really want to emphasize is that Hanwha Finance truly invests in your growth. I’ve experienced that firsthand, and I genuinely feel

how much I’ve grown as a result.

So make sure you prepare thoroughly for the application process. I’m really looking forward to the day we get to meet in Yeouido.

Wishing you all the best—you’ve got this!
